My passion is helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. I started my career running a family-owned business and have helped many small & mid-sized companies expand, grow and be successful ever since. I have been an owner, a CEO, a Vistage Chair, a Vistage Executive and now work extensively as a coach and consultant to numerous executives to help them grow as leaders as well as growing their businesses.

In 2014, my book, "Putting Together the Entrepreneurial Puzzle: The Ten Pieces Every Business Needs to Succeed” was published as a collection of the most common problems that hamper small business success. I compiled my solutions to these problems in one book. “Puzzle” is written as ten interconnected but freestanding chapters addressing the fundamental areas of business any successful entrepreneur must be prepared to develop and manage.

I run a consulting practice in Seattle, focusing on strategic planning, CEO coaching, leadership development and speak on Intentional Culture for organizations large and small. Since 2012, I have also taught a course for the Small Business Administration called "Emerging Leaders" that takes entrepreneurs through a 7 month course to create a strategic growth plan for their business. Over 70 business have participated in the course in Seattle.

I began my career as a graphic designer having graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1988. Super analog, right? After slaving around at paste up tables and light boxes and with Pantone chips stuck to the bottom of my shoes, I ended up with a full time gig as an Art Director at a woefully uncool software company in Redmond, Washington that over the next five years, became very... very, cool. Our mission: A computer on every desk and in every home. Mission accomplished.

I started my own digital design & marketing company, Tattoo Media in 1996 and serviced that same software company as well as several major record labels and recording artists. It was the dot com ba-boom and it was great. The company was acquired in 2004 where I served as a partner and leader of the acquiring company's interactive design group. Shortly thereafter I joined Filter in Seattle where I spent the next 9 years, ultimately serving as President & CEO.

Today, I am a free agent - a brand strategist, marketing consultant, and now author. I am wildly passionate about creating relevant brands, happy and productive cultures, and helping build businesses that have strong values and creativity at their core. Design and creativity are in my DNA and the lens through which I look at all problems and solutions.
